The core display principle of LCD panels is to display images by modulating light with liquid crystal molecules. As an important component of LCD panels, polarizers convert natural light into polarized light, ensuring that liquid crystal molecules can accurately control the passage and blocking of light, thereby achieving clear image display. The pasting quality of polarizers directly affects the display effect and service life of LCD panels. Pack Blue Tape has become an ideal pasting material in the process of pasting polarizers, relying on its special materials and properties. ​
The base material of Pack Blue Tape is usually a polymer film with good flexibility and flatness. This film can fit tightly to the surface of the polarizer, and after applying pressure, it forms a strong adhesion with the polarizer. At the same time, the adhesive used in the tape is specially formulated and has moderate viscosity. In addition to polarizer pasting and glass substrate fixation, blue packaging tape also plays an important role in edge protection of LCD panels. The edge of LCD panels is relatively fragile and is easily damaged by bumps, friction, etc. during production, transportation and installation. Once the edge is damaged, it will not only affect the appearance of the panel, but also cause damage to the internal structure and affect the display performance. Blue packaging tape can tightly wrap the edge of the LCD panel to form a solid protective barrier. ​
The flexibility of the tape enables it to perfectly fit the various shapes and angles of the edge of the LCD panel without leaving any gaps. Even if there are tiny bumps or depressions on the edge of the panel, the tape can adhere tightly to provide comprehensive protection. Moreover, the tape has strong wear resistance and can effectively resist external friction and scratches. During the handling and installation of the panel, even if it comes into contact with other objects, the tape can absorb most of the friction and protect the edge of the panel from damage. ​
Blue packaging tape also has good weather resistance. During the storage and transportation of LCD panels, they may face different environmental conditions, such as humid air, strong ultraviolet radiation, etc. The tape can resist the erosion of these environmental factors, and will not mold or deteriorate due to moisture, nor will it age or discolor due to ultraviolet radiation.
